Plenteous Redemption’s Statment of Faith:

The word of God:
We believe in the absolute authority of the holy scriptures (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:2). We believe the original manuscripts were given by inspiration of God and were without error. We believe the God who gave His word to man has taken upon Himself the responsibility for its preservation (Psalm 12:6-7). We believe the incorruptible word of God which cannot pass away is available to the English-speaking world in the Authorized (King James) Version. This Bible is our final authority in all matters.

One God:
We believe in one God eternally existent as the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost (1 John 5:7).

God The Creator:
We believe God to be the creator and sustainer of all things, visible and invisible. We believe the universe and all that is therein to be held together by the word of His power (Genesis 1:1. John 1:1-3, Colossians 1:12-17).

The Lord Jesus Christ:
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ to be God manifest in the flesh (John 1:1-14), virgin born (Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:26-31), without sin (John 8:46, Hebrews 4:15), crucified (Matthew 26:2, Matthew 27:26, Luke 23:33), risen and coming again to receive His church (Matthew 26:32, Matthew 28:6, Mark 16:6, Hebrews 9:28, John 14:1-4) , then returning to establish His kingdom (Revelation 20:6).

Salvation:
We believe salvation is available to all men by grace through faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ, apart from human works or merit of any kind (John 3:18, Romans 10:9-10, Romans 10:13, Ephesians 2:8-10).

Eternal Security:
We believe the saved child of God is eternally secure in the Lord Jesus Christ and is sealed, taught and comforted by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption (Colossian 3:1-4, Ephesians 1:12-14, John 3:16).

The Church:
We believe salvation makes one a member of the body of Christ and the members of this body should gather together in a local church where they may minister one to another (1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Ephesians 1:12-14, Galatians 6:2).

Christian Responsibility:
We believe it is the responsibility of every believer to proclaim the saving gospel to all men by personal testimony and by giving of their means to finance the missionary efforts of the church (Colossians 1:10, Philippians 4:14-19, 2 Corinthians 8:7-15).

Eternal Destiny:
We believe all men rejecting the Lord Jesus Christ will spend eternity in the conscious torment of a literal lake of fire, while those receiving the Lord Jesus Christ will spend eternity in the glorious presence of God (Revelation 20:14-15, Mark 9:44-48, 2 Corinthians 5:8).

Separation:
We believe all saved men should be separate from the outward and inner ways of this world, being holy in mind and in body. We believe, however, that righteousness does not come by keeping of laws and commandments but by an inner change of heart. We, therefore, place emphasis on the inner condition, trusting the outward appearance to follow accordingly (1 John 2:15-17).

Water Baptism:
We believe that water baptism is a public testimony made by the saved Christian and plays no part in salvation or making one a member of the church or body of Christ (1 Corinthians 1:10-18).

Church and State:
We believe that any attempt by the state to interfere with the working of the church or by the church to interfere with the working of the state is a violation of God’s purpose for both (Matthew 22:17-21, Romans 13:1-7).

The Preeminence of Christ:
We believe in the priesthood of all believers and decry any fashion of exalting one member of the body of Christ, or one gift of the Spirit above another (Matthew 20:25-18, 1 Corinthians 12, Revelation 1:6).

Church Governance:
We believe that the church is a body of which Jesus is the head. Thus it is not a democracy to be run by the will of its members but is to conduct its temporal as well as its spiritual business in strict accordance with the word of God (Colossians 1:18, 1 Corinthians 11:13, Ephesians 1:20-23, Ephesians 4:14-15, Ephesians 5:23).
