December 2018
Psalm 65:11 KJV: “Thou crownest the year with thy goodness;
and thy paths drop fatness.”
Another year to consider:
As Kristin and I reflect upon 2018, the first thought that comes to mind is “Where did it go?” I am certain now more thanever that life is but a vapor and if you have any intention to serve the risen Saviour, yesterday would have been the best day to get started. Time is merciless, it runs out at a different pace for each person and it is certain to never return.
As you look outwardly toward the oncoming year, making plans and discerning life’s directions, consider the Lord’s goodness. Then consider what role His goodness and His Word are playing on your outlook for the new year. As for me and my house, we will continue to seek out ways to bring every aspect of our lives in
alignment with dedicated service to the Lord Jesus Christ. The Christian life requires its adherents to be studios and to give attendance to the duties of our biblical vocation. When we are faithful, the year will pass with souls saved through the preaching of the cross and lives transformed through the teaching of God’s Word. We encourage you to join us in another year as ambassadors for Christ, reconciling this world to God, and enjoying His goodness along the way.
Joy at the end of the trail:
Kristin and I had a wonderful time at Bear Trail Baptist Church in Cana, Virginia. This wonderful little church was a blessing for a number of reasons. It is situated just outside of Mt Airy, North Carolina, also known as Mayberry. I had never considered the thought that I may have the opportunity to go street preaching in the town represented on the Andy Griffith show. We were blessed that Barney did not show up to clear us off the street corner. Instead, we exercised our freedom of speech and lifted up our voices to proclaim the gospel of Christ. We met some incredible people at Bear Trail Baptist.
There was a recurring theme that Kristin and I noticed. A number of the people remarked how Pastor Tim Crotts was
instrumental in pointing them to Christ and turning their lives around. Repeatedly we heard how the compassionate and humble spirit of this pastor was essential in penetrating hardened hearts and getting them to the Great Physician. After our
visit, we have to agree that this witness is true! We thank the Lord for such a sweet place of fellowship tucked away in the mountains of Virginia.
Praise the Lord:
Our calendar for 2019 is filling up rapidly, praise God! We expect to have a few exciting announcements for you in our next prayer letter. The Lord has so blessed us as we have set out to serve Him in Uganda, please continue to pray with us along
the way. As we step out into 2019, join us as we press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus!

I highly recommend books written by James W Knox.
Not simply because he is my pastor, but because he is a highly gifted Bible teacher. I have known Brother James to be a faithful servant of Jesus Christ. he has been an excellent example for Kristin and myself. I am certain that if you are a Bible believer, you will be greatly blessed by his written material. You may also be encouraged by his preaching, much of which is widely available online.
